Data Scientist

• Leverage your analytical skills to identify and predict customer needs, driving proactive sales and personalized communication towards the corporate segment in Swedbank’s Swedish business.
• Utilize your programming and statistical skills to develop models that drive business growth in retail banking.
• Work in an analytical team close to operations and be a part of the full analytical process, from identifying business opportunities to developing and deploying models, as well as creating data driven initiatives.
• Perform detailed analyses on large datasets and provide management with actionable, data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Understand how operational processes and policies impact key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business disciplines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to demonstrate how process changes can lead to improved outcomes.

• A creative and problem-solving mindset as well as an ambition to make a difference.
• A fundamental understanding of areas in data science (statistics and machine learning)
• An interest in corporate retail banking and how a corporate customer’s needs and challenges change throughout life stages
• An understanding of the product portfolio within a retail bank.
• Excellent communication skill to be able to convey ideas and analytical results effectively verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience.
• University degree in a technical field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or engineering
• Experience working with practical applications of statistical modelling/machine learning.
• Experience programming within an analytical framework (e.g. R / Python / SAS) and experience using SQL or spark.
