Cyber Security Engineer

Role: Cyber Security Engineer

Workload: 100%

Location: Stockholm, Sweden - 2/3 Days on site per week.

Duration: 9 months (minimum)

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for cybersecurity systems, policies, and services to ensure clear communication and usability across teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct interviews, and produce actionable documentation for internal use and the service register.
• Assist the cybersecurity team in managing technical projects, resolving system defects, and ensuring that cybersecurity tools and practices meet organisational standards.
• Document and help track vulnerabilities, risks, and remediation strategies to maintain compliance and enhance security posture.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, including system hardening, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing scripts, automating tasks, and managing security-related data.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines to support secure code development.
• Adept at analysing and resolving defects in cybersecurity systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (Beneficial)

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a cybersecurity context.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
