Are you a seasoned legal professional with a passion for digital innovation and cybersecurity?

ABB E-mobility is seeking a dynamic Nordic Legal Counsel to support our legal entities in Sweden and Norway, and facilitate business in Finland and Denmark.

With focus on advising ABB E-mobility’s global business on Digital, Cyber and Digital Payments, the role involves keeping abreast of global product and consumer regulatory developments and their application in respect of ABB E-mobility’s Software Product Management/Development, including processing and security, Product and Organizational Cyber Security and establishing and maintaining for the ABB E-mobility business specific contractual documents and GTC standards and processes. This role will have to opportunity to help in building a practice in support of ABB E-mobility Group Strategy.

In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be

• Coordinate E-mobility’s Swedish and Norwegian legal entities corporate governance, including but not limited to its Board, annual reports and AGM, and work with other functions with ABB E-mobility to facilitate any necessary business reorganization or any future Joint Venture initiatives
• Analyze legal issues requested by the General Counsel of ABB E-mobility or ABB E-Mobility Legal & Integrity Counsel, and provide general legal advice, and support in conducting internal and external compliance investigations and due diligence in compliance with ABB policies
• Drafts and negotiates commercial contracts (including SAAS) with customers and suppliers as well as alliance agreements on a global scale.
• Deliver legal and integrity training
• Deal directly in coordinating and advising internal clients and liaising and negotiating with external parties.
• Support in developing template contracts for the ABB E-mobility Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish business and assist in related trainings and/or communications.
• Provided support to ABB E-mobility Legal Counsel in litigation matters
• Leads and co-ordinates Digital legal matters for the Business and with E-mobility’s Software organization and CISO (Digital legal matters being for example legal aspects of software, cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber security, use of data, blockchain, e-commerce, ecosystems), coordinating Data Privacy issues with E-mobility’s data privacy lead, and initiating, coordinating, cascading, and driving actions needed for compliance, as well as monitoring and escalating potential Cyber Security issues
• Supports and collaborates with the ABB E-mobility Business and Commercial legal colleagues in the development of contract standards, templates and guidelines and ensures their implementation and operationalization within ABB E-mobility.
• Acts as Business Partner to the ABB E-mobility Business and group support functions including but not limited to the Digital Services and Software teams, Sales teams and the Solutions Development & Incubation teams
• Provides training and guidance across the ABB E-mobility business on Digital and Cyber Security topics
  
  

Requirements

To make the above work, we are looking for a senior professional who has a strong collaboration, stakeholder management and leadership skills. Other essential requirements:

• Qualified attorney
• 10+ years of proven practical experience in an international environment as in-house lawyer or in a reputable law firm with a focus on software, cloud, e-commerce and/or IT services, SAAS, and digital payment services
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills on a global level and ability to work in a complex international environment
• Interest and curiosity in technical topics, including the rapid development of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, and in acquiring a deep understanding in Digital Business Models
• A change agent in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Experience with intellectual property, cyber security regulations and digital payment services
• Fluency in English with strong communication, presentation, and networking skills
