Senior Full-Stack Web Developer
Salary up to £60,000- Hybrid 2 days a week

My client are on the lookout for a talented Full-Stack Web Developer to join the team in Chester.
They work on a variety of different projects, from large custom ecommerce builds for multinationals, to mobile apps and high traffic booking systems. We’re fortunate to work with various pieces of tech, but our core stack for new builds consists of Laravel(sometimes with Statamic), Vue and Tailwind. We also have plenty of projects in WordPress and a few in Drupal, with some older projects using Bootstrap.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on new technologies and a number of exciting projects. The role involves getting to work on new builds with the support of the wider Development team, as well as maintaining existing client projects.
Skills - Essential
- At least 3 years commercial experience in the sector, ideallywithin a busy agency
- Experience in a mainstream PHP MVC framework. We use Laravel primarily.
- Understanding of frontend technologies as Vue and Tailwind.
- Understanding of workflows with technologies such as Webpack and Vite.
- Ability to confidently implement a design into a responsive component-based frontend.
- An understanding of Cloud architecture and how to develop for scale, ideallywith AWS experience (not a deal breaker).
- A ‘get stuck in’ attitude.
Skills - Desirable
- Experience of a CMS or Content Management Framework such as Drupal, Statamic, or WordPress (we use all 3).
- An understanding of other frontendframeworks such as React.
- An understanding of SEO and best practice.
- An understanding of Core Web Vitals and Page Experience.
- Mobile app development experience is a bonus,although not necessary.
- Experience of integrating with ‘enterprise’ systemssuch as ERPs (Netsuite, Dynamics, etc).
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work within the development team to understand a client scope document and be given tasks to bring this to life. You’ll be expected to own your tasks but to also speak up when you aren't sure about something (with the help of our project management, and account management teams, and with support from other developers).
- Implement smaller projectseither standalone or within existingprojects. For example, implementing Klarna into a customer e-commerce experience.
- Work on our clients’monthly retainer work.
- Put forwardideas for new technology or ways to improve existingand future projects.
- Work with our other teams, especially digitalmarketing and design,to ensure their solutions are viable.
- Work with our SEO team to implementSEO best practicesacross projects, and to ensure their requirements are met on new builds.
