Senior System Engineer

Purpose: This position is responsible to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable & secure server and storage systems supporting business operations.

Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to lead system engineering efforts, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Design & implement scalable, secure, and reliable server and storage architectures aligned with business objectives
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system architecture diagrams, documentation & standards
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain server and storage uptime, performing routine audits, security checks & proactive maintenance
• Develop & implement automated monitoring tools and processes to minimize downtime
• Design & implement virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) ensuring seamless integration
• Optimize virtualized environments for performance, scalability, and resource utilization
• Implement robust system security measures (access controls, encryption) safeguarding against cyber threats and data breaches
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company security policies
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and best practices enhancing team capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring seamless integration of system infrastructure

Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 7 years in system engineering preferably in transportation or logistics industries
• Any relevant certification or training such as: CompTIA Server+ or VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), ITIL Foundation or equivalent
