Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation and maintenance activities at the Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant in Eurajoki, Finland. The role will primarily involve supervising the installation of piping systems, heat exchangers, and overseeing welding-related tasks. The estimated start will be in the middle of January and the project duration is approx. 3 months.

Candidates with prior Olkiluoto project experience will be strongly considered.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the mechanical installation of piping systems and heat exchangers
• Oversee welding activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Ensure that all installation and maintenance work complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality assurance (QA) guidelines
• Conduct inspections and implement quality control (QC) measures for all mechanical installations
• Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure timelines are met
• Maintain comprehensive records of installation activities, inspections, and any mechanical adjustments made during the project
• Report project progress to management and identify potential risks or delays

Requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanical installation and maintenance within power plants, ideally in a nuclear environment
• Experience with piping systems, heat exchangers, and basic welding processes
• Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) experience in mechanical works
• Prior work experience in the Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant is a huge plus
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Familiarity with international standards in mechanical installation and nuclear safety protocols
• Multilingual communication skills in either German or Croatian, and English
