What The Key Tasks Will Look Like

As a Functional Analyst, your primary responsibilities will involve translating complex business requirements into functional features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, and documenting your work in detail. You'll also play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software through rigorous testing

Translate Requirements

• You will translate complex business requirements into clear, functional features.
• You will validate these features with diverse stakeholders (business users, technical teams and architects) and ensure a perfect match, and assist IT-testers to create and execute test cases.
• You will be the connecting link between business and development by creating releasable sprint increments (user stories) and a clear functional analysis, allowing the development team to implement the user stories.
  
  
  

Document and deliver

• You will document your work (features, stories, and analysis) clearly in tools like Jira and Confluence.
• You will communicate transparantly about projects during sprint planning, demos, reviews, and retrospectives.
• You will make an essential contribution to the quality of our products by participating in sprint demo’s, reviews, and retrospectives, and will support in end-to-end testing.
  
  
  

Required Skills And Competencies

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business and/or functional analysis.
• Fluent in Dutch/English or French/English.
• Affinity with the insurance or banking sector and knowledge of front-end design and technology (Java, .NET, HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, AS400, etc.).
• Experience with tools like Mermaid and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• You are analytical and results-oriented.
• You communicate clearly and convincingly.
• You are a team player who enjoys collaborating.
• You are detail-oriented and always deliver quality.
