We're seeking a talented Principal Product Designer to craft exceptional experiences for our Windows and macOS products. This impactful role combines strategic thinking with hands-on design expertise to simplify workflows and enhance the overall user experience. As a principal designer, you'll drive design excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape the future of cybersecurity experiences. Your work will directly influence how millions of people connect with and trust Malwarebytes, empowering them to feel safe and secure in the digital world.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Design Strategy Define and implement a design vision for our desktop products that align with user needs and business goals
• Create Outstanding User Experiences Design intuitive, visually compelling solutions for Windows and macOS that simplify complex workflows while maintaining consistency and usability across platforms
• Advocate for Accessibility and Usability Ensure designs are inclusive, accessible, and informed by user-centered principles
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally Partner with product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver impactful solutions from concept to implementation
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead user testing, analyze insights, and iterate on designs to continuously improve satisfaction and engagement
• Ensure Seamless Implementation Work closely with engineers to deliver polished, high-quality implementations of your designs, addressing technical challenges proactively
  
  

Skills And Qualifications You’ll Need To Have

• 7 years of product design experience, including 5 years designing Windows and macOS desktop applications
• Proven track record of leading design strategies and delivering impactful user experiences
• Expertise in visual and interaction design with strong attention to typography, color, and layout
• In-depth knowledge of desktop design patterns, accessibility standards, and user research methodologies
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, capable of presenting to stakeholders and executives
• Familiarity with cybersecurity or other technical domains is a strong advantage
