Senior Mobile Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Automation Engineer to join our mobile development team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our customer mobile application. You will collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team that includes Product Owners, Scrum Masters, iOS & Android Developers, and both Automation and Manual QA professionals to deliver seamless, high-quality mobile experiences. In this position, we are looking for an individual who excels in problem-solving, possesses a strong technical foundation in mobile app testing (with a particular focus on automation), and has exceptional organizational skills to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Key Requirements:

• High experience in mobile app testing, with a strong emphasis on automation;
• Expertise in tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and other mobile testing frameworks;
• Solid experience with CI/CD systems and integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines;
• In-depth knowledge of mobile testing methodologies, including performance, security, and API testing
• Familiarity with Git and standard version control practices;
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with effective communication skills;
• Experience with releasing and maintaining production apps on the App Store and Google Play;
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively;
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing requirements, and be passionate about technology;
• A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and addressing them promptly.

Core Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand feature requirements, provide feedback on designs, and craft detailed test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage;
• Develop and maintain scalable and reusable automated test scripts using Appium or native mobile testing tools (such as Espresso, XCUITest). Ensure that tests are integrated smoothly into our CI/CD pipeline;
• Ensure the continuous functionality of the automation system, identifying and resolving issues proactively so that failures genuinely reflect bugs or issues in the code;
• Transition and maintain a sustainable, reliable test framework that supports our continuous integration and delivery goals;
• Mentor junior QA engineers by reviewing test scripts and guiding them toward best practices for code quality and testing;
• Focus on delivering a robust, crash-free, and high-performing application by conducting rigorous testing, including performance, load, and stress testing;
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and work in an Agile (SCRUM/SAFe) environment to drive continuous improvement and timely delivery;
• Support the mobile app in production by monitoring performance, identifying, and resolving issues quickly. Conduct security assessments to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities;
• Stay ahead of the curve on the latest mobile technologies and trends, contributing innovative solutions that enhance app performance, user experience, or development efficiency.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Analytics and Marketing SDKs for tracking user engagement and optimizing app performance;
• Familiarity with Mobile Experience Management (Personalization) and Content Management systems to create tailored user experiences;
• Strong understanding of AWS services, specifically API Gateway, AppSync, and CloudWatch;
• Knowledge of Accessibility Standards for mobile applications to ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines and improve app usability for all users.
