Backend Engineer

IMTF Group is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our innovative team. As a leading global software product company in the field of Compliance & Automation, we develop cutting-edge RegTech solutions with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud. We are dedicated to automating manual processes through the use of Machine Learning and Data Science, ensuring our clients have the most efficient and effective compliance solutions in the market.

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend solutions. By leveraging your expertise in software engineering and collaborating with our data science and consulting teams, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality code that meets our clients' compliance needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement application features
• Ensure code quality, efficiency, reliability, and security
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and bugs
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software engineering
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members (Mid-Senior engineers only)
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in backend software development
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python
• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and SQL
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, agile development environment
• Experience with Docker and containerization is a plus
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus
