Business Data Analyst

The Client & Role:
We're currently working with an Australian utilities organisation who are looking to bring on a Business Data Analyst to work with the organisation on a large-scale urban development project for an initial 6-month period. Rate on offer is up to $850 per day inclusive of super.

As the Business Data Analyst, you will be working with tools such as PowerBI, SQL, PEGA, and GIS. Your role will not be confined to mere data crunching; you will be the maestro of data interpretation, extracting meaningful insights and translating them into actionable strategies for the relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using PowerBI.
* Perform data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis using SQL.
* Utilize PEGA and GIS tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
* Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports that offer actionable insights.
* Communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
* Work within a hybrid model, committing to three days per week on-site collaboration.

Required Skills & Specialisms:
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within "big build" or utilities sectors.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
* Experience in working with large and complex data sets and relational databases.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of translating technical data into business insights.
