Rhapsody Support Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Rhapsody Support Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of professional Healthcare IT experience and hands-on expertise in various Middleware/ESB products such as Rhapsody and Oracle Service Bus.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare messaging standards, integration protocols, and software development in order to support and enhance healthcare IT systems.

Responsibilities

Work with messaging and data formats including HL7, XML, IHE, CCD, CCR, CDA, FHIR, SQL, EDIFACT, X.12, HIPAA 837, 997, 277, 275, 835 v.4020, HCFA X.12937A, UB92 v4.1 and V.5.0, ASTM, NCPDP, and DICOM.
Handle networking/database connection protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, JDBC, ODBC, HTTP(S), REST, SOAP(S), FTP(S), SMTP/IMAP/POP3, SNA, JMS, and MSMQ.
Utilize development and technologies like Java, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XSLT.
Implement security and authentication protocols, including HTTPS, LDAP, PKI, SSL, IPsec, and OAuth2.
Familiarity with HIT Standards Panel (HITSP) recommended code sets, vocabularies, and terminologies, including ICD-9, ICD-10, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.
Provide expertise in Rhapsody interface engines for smooth integration and messaging solutions.
Develop and support EMR integrations with systems like Epic, Cerner, and various lab integration solutions.
Act as an experienced integration developer, proficient in C# .NET Core and microservice architecture.
Write and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries as needed for data integration tasks.
Develop solutions using SOA, MVC, REST API, Web API, WCF, Angular JS, JavaScript, XML, ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, AJAX, jQuery, Entity Framework, LINQ, and multithreading.
In-depth knowledge of API integrations for bidirectional data exchange with EMR systems such as Epic, Athena, Cerner, and Allscripts.
Experience with Broadcom/Layer7 API Gateway is an asset.

Qualifications

Rhapsody Professional Certified or Certified in Rhapsody Maintenance.
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Bachelor of Information Technology with a major in IT (full-time degree course).
