Role Description

We are seeking a backend-focused engineer (SDE3) with extensive experience in building RESTful APIs and a strong understanding of service architecture. If you are passionate about developing well-crafted, stable services and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this remote role is for you.

Mandatory responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Proficient in programming with Go
• Comfortable with Docker
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering best practices and growth.
• Enhance the architecture and scalability of our core platforms to ensure reliability and performance.
• Utilize modern software development tools and processes, including Github and Jira.
• Participate in projects that employ event-driven architecture to improve system responsiveness.
• Lead unit testing efforts and promote high test coverage standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and drive innovation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in building RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Go.
• Proficient with modern software development tools and project management processes.
• Comfortable with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Excellent mentoring and leadership skills.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and API schemas like Swagger/OpenAPI is a plus.
• Familiarity with Chi framework and Gorm ORM preferred, but not required.
• Strong commitment to unit testing and maintaining high-quality code.
