The role will be based at our offices at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5BS, in central London. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. Job summary
As Cyber Security Analyst you will be dedicated to help protect our staff, our data and technology. Your work will ensure that SFO remains resilient to Cyber-attacks by using secure by design thinking that is embedded into everything the department does. Working with the Head of Cyber to ensure risks are identified / mitigated against. The role will be responsible for assisting with specialist security support to the Head of Cyber security and to all areas of the department. Your work in this area will include both direct support of business areas and suppliers and eventually with hands-on security support where necessary.
Our IT team at the SFO is small but highly experienced and closely knit, always working seamlessly together and with various stakeholders both within the department and externally. This role will be part of this collaborative environment. As a Cyber Security Analyst, youll resolve cyber security issues leveraging this collective experience to provide expert advice on all things within the cyber security domain.

Job Description
As a Cyber Security Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of a wide range of security processes within the department and cyber function
- Ensuring that the SFO remains resilient to Cyber-attacks by using secure by design principles and functional standards as used by HMG
- Conduct technology risk assessments and assurance activities as required either during BAU or following any threat assessment scenario work.
- Keeping track of mitigations to ensure controls remain effective during the lifecycle of systems and services
- Maintain the vulnerability notification management system and identify remediation to both detected and published vulnerabilities that may affect systems and services
- Working with supply chain to ensure they operate their services in line with SFO security policies to reduce and remediate vulnerabilities and issues
