Position

Camco is developing a second generation position detection system to accurately move shipping containers at container terminals. For this purpose, both satellite navigation technologies and wireless distance measurements with regard to UWB technology are used. This technology is integrated on a custom ARM board. A new framework is in full development written in C++ and Python.

For this position we are looking for an experienced person who develops embedded software for this ARM board.

  • You design, develop and implement C++ software applications for the ARM board
  • You write efficient, well-structured code
  • You identify and resolve technical issues and bugs
  • You actively contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality (pull requests)
  • You think about the architecture of the software
  • You contribute to the algorithms that process the sensor data
  • You research and integrate new technologies and tools to improve development processes


Profile

  • You have a master's degree in computer science or electronics or comparable through experience
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a C/C++ developer
  • You have GIT experience
  • You have experience with Linux operating system and Python scripting languages
  • You have experience with mathematical modeling of systems and optimization problems
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development is a plus
  • Knowledge of security aspects is a plus
  • Experience with Buildroot and Mender is a plus
