We collaborate closely with KONE’s business teams to identify and address their needs, utilizing GenAI to develop solutions that are both pioneering and practical. Our objective is to drive innovation and efficiency, thereby enabling KONE to maintain its leadership position in the industry.

We are now looking for a

Summer Trainee, Full-Stack Developer

for the GenAI Lighthouse team in Espoo

Are you passionate about building cutting-edge digital solutions? As a Full-Stack Developer Trainee in KONE’s GenAI Lighthouse team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing applications that harness the power of Generative AI. You’ll collaborate with our experts to create robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that solve real-world problems and enhance operational efficiency.

The position is based in Espoo, with the possibility of conducting some work remotely. We are seeking a student to work for three months between May and September 2025, depending on availability and preference.

We hope you have:

• Currently in your third year or higher of university studies, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development using frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular, Node.js, Python, or similar.
• A good understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
• A strong grasp of version-control concepts such as experience with git.
• A curious mindset and enthusiasm to learn and apply Generative AI to software solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to translate complex needs into practical implementations.
• Excellent English communication skills, with strong collaboration abilities to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
