UI/UX Designer

Position

As we expand, we are actively seeking designers to help us build great digital experiences across web and mobile applications. This position is both creative and rigorous by nature.

You'll work on Odoo products directly and in close collaboration with our R&D department. It’s a part-design, part-development position (HTML/CSS).

You will lead the discovery phase and you’ll be involved in the implementation, helping to create engaging products for both backend and frontend.

You’ll not be in direct contact with our clients, but it’s your responsibility to ensure them the best quality, gathering feedback from POs, user testing and other Odoo departments.

What we expect

• Being creative and passionate about providing design solutions to functional problems;
• Ability to design mockups that lead to straightforward implementations;
• The candidate must be curious, passionate, willing to learn and share knowledge.

Must have

• Strong CSS skills (flex, grid, media-queries, responsive units...);Being a quick and autonomous learner;
• Knowledge of how to work with a design system;Being familiar with accessibility and usability best practices; Being familiar with CSS preprocessors;
• At least a “basic” knowledge of Github;
• A nagging inner sense of guilt when using !important^^
• Fluent in English;
• Valid work permit for Belgium.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of any object-oriented programming languages (JS, Python…);
• Experience on how to customize CSS frameworks;
• Contribution to Open Source Projects;
• Good knowledge of business processes.
