Positions: Backend Developer (kotlin + Spring)

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

Microservices & Backend Development:

• Design and maintain distributed microservices using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Ensure services are independent, scalable, and easy to maintain.
• Implement best practices to ensure robust and reliable backend systems.

API Development & Database Integration:

• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Ensure data consistency and optimize database access for maximum efficiency.

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate builds and deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the smooth operation of services.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
• Conduct code reviews, adhering to Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
• Perform load testing to ensure our applications can handle high traffic and scale efficiently.

Collaboration & Agile Practices:

• Actively participate in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and product managers, to build high-quality products.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering continuous improvement across the team.
• Collaborate with global teams, particularly with teams in the United States, requiring strong proficiency in English.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (enterprise-level) and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and logging/monitoring systems such as ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

Additional Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for collaboration with US-based teams.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Passion for technology, continuous learning, and mentoring others.
