Job Title: SD-WAN Network Engineer

Location: Brussels/Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite, 3 days remote

Start Date: 01/01/2025

Job Type: 12 month contract/freelance - very likely to extend

Client: Leading Global Technology Consultancy Client

Language Requirements: Fluent in French and good knowledge of Dutch.

The SDWAN Network Engineer will be a key contributor within a team tasked with managing (SD)WAN and security solutions, with a primary emphasis on SDWAN.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate (SD)WAN designs and solutions, coordinating with presales teams and success managers to discuss and refine them.
2. Engage with customers regarding (SD)WAN solutions, offering recommendations for improvements when needed.
3. Implement (SD)WAN configurations as agreed upon with the customer, followed by conducting necessary performance evaluations.
4. Develop and document migration plans, including scenarios, action steps, and assigned responsibilities, and execute these plans.
5. Handle change requests and manage incident tickets, including performing root cause analysis if required.
6. Work closely with other engineering teams and senior colleagues from different technology areas to deliver integrated solutions.
7. Perform remote or on-site interventions, which may be scheduled during or outside of standard business hours.

Required Skills/Experience

1. Proven track record of experience in WAN (MPLS, IPVPN) and/or SD-WAN networks (vendors Fortinet, Meraki etc.)
2. Experience in network security is a plus
