Engineer Aviation Information Security

Task Responsibilities:

  • Handle incidents and occurrences around critical information and communication technology systems and processes related to avionics systems.
  • Handle PKI infrastructure and associated services, documentation, and procedure.
  • Support the implementation of aircraft log analysis and train relevant personnel.
  • Provide expertise and training to the counterparts within the organization (Maintenance and Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground Operations)
  • Manage information security risks, mitigations, vulnerabilities and continued effectiveness of the protection of all critical systems.
  • Be one of the IT representatives in an Aircraft Information Security Center of the company and support the Aircraft Information security specialist.
  • Manage the internal and external information reporting scheme.
  • Follow developments in avionic systems and provide advice and support to the team in charge of the design changes on avionic systems for the Cargolux fleet and aircraft.
  • Support the Cargolux Design Organization (DO) to comply with cybersecurity design requirements for aircraft modifications and configurations.

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Technical diploma with focus in IT. A bachelor degree in computer science (or any other relevant field) would be an asset.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an IT Operations Center with focus on cybersecurity.
  • Strong skills in IT network technologies, cloud technologies and cybersecurity.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and network infrastructure.
  • Understanding of network architecture and services.
  • Experience with intrusion detection methodologies for detecting host and/or network-based intrusion incidents.
  • Experience with log review & live response.
  • Familiar with application monitoring concepts.
  • Willing to attend regular trainings and stay up-to-date with new technologies.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written); any additional language will be considered a strong asset.
  • Good problem solving skills, analytical approach and research-oriented.
  • Passion for excellence.
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills and a customer-cantered mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural fast-pacing environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time contract based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
  • Working hours: morning & afternoon shifts and on call service during nights (rotation).
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
