As an experienced Consulting Project Management Manager (CPMM) in Delivery Excellence Services (DES), you will be working towards enabling and accelerating strategic program, consulting with field and HQ leaders across Microsoft and with other change leaders to improve the change experience for the field and drive improved business performance for the areas. Leading a team of enablement leads, you will seek to understand business requirements, constraints, and aspirations, and in return, identify the best means to achieve those aspirations through quality change management practices using the Prosci® Change Management methodology.

Responsibilities

The CPMM is a people manager role, who leads a high-performance team of seasoned project managers well versed in delivery management practices, and trends. The DMM is accountable for landing and sustaining strategic programs that enable and accelerate Industry Solutions Delivery leading to increased Customer/Employee Satisfaction & improved Delivery Performance.

This role is at the forefront to help realize and achieve the ISD core business priority of DELIVER WITH EXCELLENCE - Provide world-class Delivery Management to optimize customer outcomes and cloud services consumption.

This role will have exposure across a large consulting portfolio, with an opportunity to impact all area roles and a multitude of customer engagements annually through key organization-wide strategies, as well as an opportunity to influence Senior Leaders in the delivery organization.

The CPMM

Location/Travel: Travel can be expected to be approximately 25 to 50%.

Qualifications

We are looking for a collaborative delivery leader with strong program management experience, understanding of the consulting services delivery and project management disciplines, and the ability to successfully influence in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Ability to lead large scale transformation and drive ongoing improvements in diverse customer, contracting, and Industry scenarios
  • Experience in effective global communication skills, impact and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, building trust and respect for the company.
  • Ability to drive, impact and influence stakeholders across varying roles ranging from Delivery Domain/Practice leaders, CTOs, Delivery Management and Sales/Pursuit roles
  • Experience in managing large complex programs spanning multiple stakeholder groups (employees, customers and partners) across Local / Regional / Global Areas
  • Proven and extensive experience in Program/Project Management or comparable experience
  • Proven and extensive experience in Consulting Delivery Portfolio Management or comparable experience
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology
  • Adept at creating clarity, generating energy, team building and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and retaining professional talent
  • Demonstrated ability to lead delivery teams in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
  • PMI® credentials in PMP®, CSM®/ PgMP® and knowledge of CMMi / ISO 9001 / TQM / Six Sigma processes is a plus
  • Prosci®, or other Change Management qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in computer science, operations, business administration, or equivalent years of experience
