Inviting applications for the role of Senior Java Software Engineer in Montreal QC, Fulltime Day 1 onsite Hybrid role

Job Description:

Looking for someone who has extensive experience in building apis , workflows and integration.

Following are some of the expectations from team members:

1. Team members are expected to demonstrate an eagerness to learn about the existing platform as well as new technologies to support multiple gen ai business use cases. The business we support evolves very quickly as does the technology we use therefore it is important that new team members embrace change and show a willingness to learn.

2. Interact with business analysts and learn about research products and processes.

3. Work in an open environment where everyone can express their views and make a significant contribution.

4. Work on parts of the platform that is used to author and publish research content

Skills Required:

• Core Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring boot

• Micro-services, API Gateway

• Authentication - OAuth2 & mTLS

• Web service development

• Unit testing, Test Driven Development

• XML

• Multi-tier web or desktop application development experience

• Working experience in NoSQL database

• Application containers - Docker

Desirable:

• LLMs

• Prompt Engineering

• Kubernetes & Service Mesh

• Mongodb

• UNIX experience/Shell scripting

• Experience of working within the banking industry.

• Experience with Content Management Systems

• Strong problem solving skills

• Effective communication skills verbal & written

• Working experience with agile development methodology and in scrum ceremonies

• Knowledge of web containers and servers

• Tools: Eclipse IDE/IntelliJ, GIT, Jira

• Experience in DevOps
