Back End Developer

Astek is proposing an opportunity for Mid-Senior level Back End Developer to support our Project based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Server-Side Development: Design, develop, and maintain the server-side components of web applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Nodejs, or others
• Database Management: Create and optimize database structures, queries, and interactions using technologies like SQL, NoSQL, or other database management systems
• Strong experience with backend development technologies, such as SQL, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and standards
• Collaborating with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
• Assisting with data engineering tasks in significant project initiatives for the Data Strategy Group's Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Implementing security and data protection measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information

Qualifications:

• This role requires a candidate cleared or eligible for CAT-1 clearance.
• MUST HAVE DBT Core experience
• Strong in Python software development with hands-on experience across multiple enterprise projects.
• Strong in SQL with hands-on experience in any relational database management system (RDBMS).
• Proficiency in Snowflake.
• Experience using AWS PAAS services such as GLUE and LAMBDA.
• Experience in automation testing and implementing CICD pipelines.
• Familiarity with implementing Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices like Scrum and Kanban.
• Agile, quick learner, and adaptable to changes.
• Strong team player with excellent analytical skills who enjoys solving complex problems.
