Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Devops Developer This position’s primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Required Qualifications

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of e.

At least 2 years of Information Technology experience

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application programming interfaces (APIs) using the Java programming language, ensuring efficient communication between different systems and applications by creating robust, scalable, and well-documented APIs that adhere to best practices and security standards; often collaborating with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs into larger systems

Develop unit tests and integration tests for APIs.

Deploy APIs to production environments using CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration

Work closely with front-end developers to integrate APIs into user interfaces.

Collaborate with back-end developers to design overall system architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

Define API endpoints, data structures, and request/response formats based on business requirements.

Create API documentation with clear specifications and usage examples.

Design RESTful APIs following industry standards.

Development

Implement Java-based APIs using frameworks like Spring Boot, Jersey, or Dropwizard.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Java code for API functionalities.

Integrate with external services and databases using APIs.

Security

Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) to protect API endpoints.

Ensure data validation and input sanitization to prevent security vulnerabilities.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
