DevOps Engineer

ContinuumCloud is growing and is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. This position will be responsible for implementing and managing automation within our cloud environment and the overall uptime of our environment. This role will also be responsible for supporting code repositories and working with developers to manage release pipelines. 

This role is 100% remote and works an East Coast time zone schedule. US Citizenship or work authorization is required.

How you’ll make an impact:   

·      Assist with design and deployment of new technologies in AWS and OCI

·      Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraForm for our platform

·      Maintain or improve the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline infrastructure

·      Assist with code branch management and strategy

·      Experience managing multiple concurrent environments (dev, test, staging, production)

·      Manage and improve security and access processes to infrastructure and platform

·      Experience with modern backup tools & techniques

·      Develop solutions with Business Continuity mindset

·      Assist with annual SOC 2 and HITRUST audits

·      Develop and maintain system architecture documentation

·      Communicate with resources involved in resolution to ensure incidents are resolved, requests are fulfilled, and the customer communication is complete

·      Responsive after-hours, as well as planned after-hours work

·      Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the role:   

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline

·      1-3 years hands-on working experience with configuring and maintaining resources on AWS or similar cloud providers

·      1-3 years experience working GIT

·      1+ years of Terraform experience

·      Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server a plus

·      Experience with production deployments using DevOps.

·      Experience with the agile scrum Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

·      Knowledge of scripting or programming – Bash, Powershell, and Python is a plus.

·      Experience working with cloud security and IAM policies and roles with least privilege mindset.

·      Experience with and a strong understanding of secret management along with the practice of good security hygiene.

·      Understand how web applications work and the common tools around them.

·      Knowledge of networking fundamentals is preferred.
