At Morgan Stanley, the HR Advisory team plays a crucial role in supporting both employees and managers with a wide range of HR matters. The position entails providing high-quality advisory support, partnering with global and regional HR colleagues, and managing day-to-day advisory HR tasks with accuracy and timeliness. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly while navigating multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


Core Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality advisory support to HR Business Partners/BU Managers and Leaders alike on routine, cyclical, and ad-hoc HR focus areas including but not limited to reasonable accommodations, background escalations, and Tier 2 leave of absences

• Partner with global and regional HR colleagues to support people initiatives

• Provide day-to-day support for employees and managers on advisory HR matters in a timely and accurate way.

• Facilitates communication and liaise between employees, managers, the Reasonable Accommodations team, employment law, and other relevant stakeholders

• Liaising with employee relations and employment law as required.

• Ensure requests are tracked appropriately - documents and maintains accurate, appropriate, and timely case notes and status via Firm centralized systems - HRCM and AskHR - from conception to close

• Proactively identify trends and suggest actions to reduce risk, provide proactive guidance that will ultimately improve the employee experience

• Ensure that service delivery standards are consistently met or exceed expectations by providing high-quality support and guidance

• Exceptional judgment; escalates pertinent matters as necessary

• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to flex style based on situation and audience

• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to engender trust quickly

• Strong understanding of the Human Resources function and labor laws

• Must be a team player who enjoys a high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams and assignments

• Successful candidates will have a roll up your sleeves, can do, mindset and be open to change

• Strong ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail while dealing with a heavy volume of workflow

• Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines

• Exhibits ownership and accountability to ensure tasks are completed in a thorough and timely manner

• Effective problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness

• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner

• Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with preferred years of HR Coordinator/Recruiting experience

• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect

• Strong organizational, thorough communication skills

• Excellent independent judgement; knows when the escalate

• Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders

• Experience dealing with sensitive matters and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Experience in coordinating accommodation requests or similar roles is preferred
