Android Developer - Perm - £85k - London (Hybrid) - Greenfield project

I'm currently partnered with a London based business who are looking for an Android engineer to join their team and work on a greenfield project that has just kicked off - a fantastic opportunity to own features from conception to release!

Key Information

• £85,000 per year
• Hybrid in Central London
• Greenfield project at fast growing scaleup (Unicorn)

Requirements

• Proven experience in creating and delivering Android applications for commercial use.
• Proficient in Kotlin, with a solid understanding of Coroutines.
• Skilled in integrating secure API connections using RESTful services.
• Knowledgeable about Dependency Injection principles and their application in development.
• Familiar with software design patterns such as MVVM and MVI, along with a strong foundation in testing practices.
• Hands-on experience working with data storage solutions like Realm or Room.
• Excellent communication skills, with a passion for collaborating in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including mobile leads, UX designers, product managers, and fellow developers, to design and implement new Android app features.
• Develop and manage secure, efficient API integrations using RESTful services.
• Actively share knowledge and contribute to improving team processes and workflows.
• Promote a strong testing culture by writing unit tests, UI tests, and supporting automated testing efforts.
• Write and maintain clean, high-quality Kotlin code using modern Android development tools and techniques, including Coroutines.
• Design and implement reliable data storage solutions with tools like Realm or Room.
