Back End Developer

We are working with a global award winning, digitally integrated development studio, they are looking for mid-level backend developer with a focus on Node.js to join the team. The company have been operating for over 20 years and have built long standing relationships with multiple household names across the world. They work in a low code environment and use several modern AI tools integrated into their core stack, there is also around 20/30% blend of DevOps involved in the position so it's a great opportunity to upskill.

Responsibilities:

• Lead & support several projects focused on backend development
• Drive best practice and methodologies with a multidisciplinary tech team
• Assist in supporting with DevOps
• Focus on TDD, CI/CD & pull requests
• Work in an agile environment
• Lead by example for junior developers
• Managing/building server side applications

Key skills:

• 4+ years experience working within the Javascript/Typescript ecosystem
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend API development and support
• Experience building server side features (with Nest.js a bonus)
• Experience with GraphQL
• Intermediate AWS DevOps experience (writing CI/CD scripts, containers and setting up AWS hosts)
• Digital agency experience preferred
• Interest in security best practice
