DevOps Engineer – Testing Focus

We are seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team, with a strong emphasis on testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. In this role, you will contribute to developing effective testing strategies, standardizing tools, and supporting the adoption of test automation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardize Testing Tools:
• Identify and recommend testing tools and frameworks for various needs (e.g., ReadyAPI, Playwright, Katalon, Postman, Gatling, LoadRunner).
• Create decision tables to assist teams in selecting the most appropriate tools for their use cases.
• Lead efforts to retire outdated tools and facilitate migration to modern alternatives.

Documentation and Best Practices:

• Develop comprehensive documentation for automated testing best practices, ensuring tests are environment-agnostic, independent, and focused on capabilities rather than specific user stories.
• Collaborate with the Testing Community to share and promote these best practices.

Test Data Management:

• Define strategies and processes for managing test data across various environments, closely aligning with production data.
• Establish clear responsibilities for data creation, copying, and cleanup processes.

Support Test Automation:

• Document the integration of test automation into the Jira workflow, including the configuration and management of XRAY.
• Ensure the seamless delivery of new features and tests, aligning them with the team's processes and Git branching strategy.
• Execute automated tests post-deployment to validate that new versions meet functional requirements.

Repository and Version Management:

• Define best practices for storing test scripts in Bitbucket, ensuring synchronization between test and application versions.
• Develop and enforce a Git branching model for organizing test scripts (e.g., Playwright, Gatling).

Skills and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Sciences or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in SDLC or software delivery.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in testing best practices (ISTQB certification is a plus).
• At least 3 years of experience working with Git.
• Proficient in Typescript, with at least 5 years of experience (used for Playwright and Gatling).
• At least 3 years of experience with Continuous Delivery, preferably using Azure DevOps.
