Job Title: Senior Project Manager (ICT)
Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager (ICT) will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of key technology initiatives aligned with the strategic and operational objectives of the organisation. This role requires effective leadership and oversight of ICT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and manage projects from initiation to completion, including ICT operational and infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse requirements, define scope, plan timelines, and design solutions.
- Create and maintain project documentation in line with organisational standards.
- Define clear project objectives and deliverables for a variety of ICT projects.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects meet specifications, deadlines, and budgets.
- Regularly report to project boards, executives, and the ICT PMO on project progress and key deliverables.
- Oversee vendor and supplier engagement to ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
- Support ICT elements within broader business transformation initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Formal project management certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP).
Experience:
- 8+ years’ project management experience, including ICT and cross-functional projects.
- Strong proficiency in managing resources, budgets, risks, and changes using formal project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to deliver ICT operational and infrastructure-focused projects.
- Experience engaging and managing ICT vendors and suppliers.
- Leading ICT infrastructure projects within broader transformation programmes.
- Managing projects in a public sector or financial management environment.
Skills:
- Leadership: Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams and deliver projects successfully.
- Change Management: Ability to drive change and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Risk Management: Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
- Strategic Planning: Strong skills in aligning ICT initiatives with organisational strategy.
