Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and related technologies to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies. This role will involve end-to-end development, including the maintenance of applications post-go live, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java8 or higher, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Ensure smooth post-go live operations and ongoing maintenance.
• Web Services/REST/SOAP: Develop and integrate Web Services, including REST and SOAP APIs to enable seamless communication between systems.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Version Control & Collaboration: Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively using Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE to develop and troubleshoot code.
• Agile & Analytical Skills: Apply Agile development practices, attend Scrum ceremonies, and participate in continuous improvement of the development process. Demonstrate strong analytical skills to solve complex problems and provide actionable insights.
• Customer Facing: Engage with clients directly to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and maintain strong relationships.
• End-to-End Focus: Ensure the successful delivery of features through the full software development lifecycle, from development through testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Java8 or Higher: Strong experience with Java 8 or above, with the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Spring Boot & Microservices: Expertise in developing microservices using Spring Boot.
• Web Services (REST/SOAP): Proficiency in developing and integrating web services using REST and SOAP protocols.
• CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices, with experience in tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Azure DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure (including deployment, repository management, and code reviews).
• Version Control (Git): Proficient in Git concepts and using Git for source code management.
• Agile Methodology: Strong experience in Agile development environments and familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum.
• Customer-Facing Experience: Proven experience in working directly with clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions.
• English Proficiency: Good written and spoken communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills:

• Banking Experience: Previous experience in banking or financial services will be a plus.
• Azure CI/CD: Familiarity with deploying applications and managing CI/CD pipelines on Azure.
• Team Player: Ability to work in a collaborative team environment but also capable of working independently.
• Time & Project Management: Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed analysis and extract key insights to support decision-making.
