Mobile Lead Developer - Freelance

Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Developer with expertise in both Android and iOS technologies to join their teams. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of both platforms (Kotlin, Swift) and will be responsible for leading development efforts while interfacing directly with clients. As the lead developer, you will be expected to guide the technical direction of projects, coordinate teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

This role requires fluency in German and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to clients and stakeholders. You should have a strong background in Agile methodologies and be comfortable working independently to deliver solutions. The ideal candidate is based in Germany, but remote candidates with the right qualifications will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage development efforts across Android and iOS platforms.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical requirements.
• Oversee project timelines, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Develop and implement applications using Kotlin, Swift, SwiftUI, Foundation, and UIKit.
• Ensure integration with external APIs, using RESTful API and JSON.
• Conduct test automation, debugging, and documentation according to process guidelines.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

• Fluent in German (both spoken and written) and English.
• Proven experience in both Android development (Kotlin, Compose) and iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit).
• Strong background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Git, Jira, Confluence, and test automation tools.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and secure coding practices (cryptography).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Experience in leading and managing development teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
