Circle K Business Centre is a shared service center which supports Circle K Europe operations through a wide range of services within Finance & Control, Information Technologies, Human Resources, Transport Fuel and Customer Service.

Among the solutions you will find web applications, native mobile applications and technical components.

What You Will Be Working On

Considering Circle K global scale, continuous growth, need for flexibility and agile delivery, we built global platform based on cloud services (Azure, AWS) that provides its capabilities for different products without location constraint, delivering innovative solutions to our customers.

Requirements

We are looking for Java Developer who can help us on our journey and join the backend Team in Platform Powered Development section. The Team is creating solutions for our API Service Platform which lays the digital foundation for Circle K operations with various objectives like:

• Next Generation Self Checkout
• Order
• Product Information and Discount Calculation
• And much more to come.
  
  

You will work with us using the newest technology stack, collaborating with Technical Product Owner, numerous skilled Developers, Testers, DevOps and Architects as new colleagues, working in an agile, multinational environment.

This position is hybrid, 2+ days a week in our Circle K Business Centre office at Puławska 145 Warsaw.

Must Have

• 3+ years Java 17 development experience including JUnit, JPA, Hibernate,
• 2+ years Spring framework experience (Data, Boot, Security, Cloud),
• Experience in database modelling (PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis, CosmosDB),
• Experience in HTTP standards, REST interfaces (microservice architecture and documenting on Swagger/OpenAPI),
• Experience in working with Git, Gradle, Kubernetes, Docker
• Working knowledge of message queues, messaging based systems (ie. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ServiceBus)
• Strong code review skills,
• Excellent problem-solving abilities,
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred),
• Experience in agile software development frameworks and ways of working (Scrum),
• Knowledge and practice in applying design patterns/principles, CQRS, service mesh
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PO, SM, Architects and Testers within the Team and across different Teams,
• Fluent English - level B2 or higher.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of TDD and BDD ways of automated testing (using mockito/cucumber),
• Domain Driven Design,
• Github actions, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in React, TypeScript and modern SPA frameworks considered plus
