Position Overview:

EnerZam is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong technical background and proven experience in software development. This role requires a professional who can design, implement, and optimize applications aligned with our commitment to delivering high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions. The Software Engineer will play a critical role in developing software applications for web, mobile, and cross-platform environments. This includes ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and collaborating with internal teams to enhance EnerZam's suite of intelligent solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.

Work Authorization:

• Must already be authorized to work in Canada.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience and expertise in the following areas:

Core Expertise:

• Backend Development: Spring Boot, Java, PostgreSQL
• Frontend Development: React, JavaScript, HTML, Thymeleaf

Mobile Development:

• Android Development: Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, using Android Studio
• iOS Development: Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C, using Xcode

Cross-Platform Tools:

• Flutter (Dart)
• React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Appium (testing and debugging)

Additional Requirements:

• API Integration: Expertise in RESTful APIs and JSON for backend communication
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and platforms such as GitHub

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong technical expertise in software engineering and development.
• A disciplined and structured approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to deliver well-structured, maintainable, and comprehensible code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical solutions.
• Experience working in a professional environment focused on quality and efficiency.
• A background in energy efficiency, IoT, or related fields is considered an asset.

Work Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (in-person at EnerZam offices).
