Data Scientist (AI) - Global Hedge Fund - Singapore

Our client, a reputable global hedge fund, is actively seeking a Data Scientist with strong AI exposure to join their growing team in Singapore.

The role:

• Collaborating with senior AI engineers and quantitative researchers to research and construct AI systems
• Designing and implementing AI solutions that utilize cloud-based data and distributed computing technologies
• Assisting in overseeing the AI software development process, including the establishment and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Providing system support and promptly addressing issues
• Operating within a globally dispersed yet closely connected team, engaging in feature brainstorming, technical design sessions, code reviews, and general collaboration
• Developing software that is meticulously commented, comprehensible, rigorously tested, and well-documented, emphasizing quality above all else

What you offer:

• A postgraduate degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
• Over 3+ years of professional experience in developing top-tier Data solutions and products as an individual contributor
• A deep passion for data and AI, coupled with a knack for sharing knowledge with others
• Proficiency in AI engineering best practices, object-oriented principles, and data-centric development nuances
• Mastery of Python, encompassing data manipulation and machine learning libraries
• Proficiency in applying natural language processing, large language models, and machine learning to tackle real-world business challenges
• Familiarity with the entire AI software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, utilizing frameworks such as LangChain
• Proficiency in basic DevOps practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience working in a cloud environment, with a preference for familiarity with AWS
