The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and linear algebra, with expertise in ruminant agriculture. Proficiency in Python or R is essential, and knowledge of SQL is a plus. Experience with multi-level statistical methods (e.g., BLUE, REML) and genomics data analysis is highly valued. Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud solutions like Databricks, Dataiku, AWS, and Snowflake is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze time series and genomic data, driving decision-making and innovation in the dairy and beef industry
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to develop data science products
• Utilize expertise in mathematics and statistics to optimize product performance and value

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and R for data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development
• Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and linear algebra
• Experienced with bioinformatics tools for DNA sequence analysis (e.g., BLAST, Plink, GATK)
• Knowledge of multi-level methods, including BLUE and REML
