IT and Security Policy Analyst

AuxiliaGroup Recruitment are currently hiring a Senior IT Services Management Lead on behalf of our client, an established company within the Insurance Sector. This is a 6 month contractor opportunity based in Dublin. The role will offer hybrid working.

Role:

• Conduct thorough reviews of existing IT and security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Identify any gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated practices in current documentation.
• Draft, update, and maintain IT and security policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the company’s operational needs and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure policies are comprehensive and achievable.
• Work closely with IT and security teams to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring that policies and procedures effectively protect the organization’s information assets.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented policies, proposing adjustments as needed to maintain compliance with evolving regulations.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in IT policy development, cybersecurity, or risk management, ideally within the assurance, financial services, or similar regulated industry.
• Experience of writing polices and procedures a requirement for this position
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
