Network Administrator | Utilities | Austin, TX (3x a week onsite) | $85k-$110k

Are you a skilled IT professional with a passion for network security, system reliability, and technical problem-solving? We’re looking for a Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge SCADA/EMS systems, safeguard infrastructure from cybersecurity threats, and ensure compliance with critical standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and maintain network equipment, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
• Ensure the cybersecurity posture of firewalls and IPS/IDS systems.
• Deploy firewall rules and policy on ASA & Palo Alto firewalls
• Oversee system backups and recovery operations to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot network and system issues, collaborating with vendors when needed.
• Monitor and enhance infrastructure availability, conducting preventive maintenance for optimal stability.
• Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends by participating in industry forums and training.

What You’ll Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a network administrator
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Layer 2, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco and Palo Alto preferred).
• Familiarity with security tools like ManageEngine, Tripwire, Nessus, LogRhythm, and DUO two-factor authentication.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
