Machine Learning Engineer

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

As a Machine Learning Engineer at TechnologyOne, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI/ML-powered data platform. You will be a key member of the AI and ML Team, working on the design, implementation, and support of advanced AI and Machine Learning initiatives. You will guide the business on how to drive AI/ML capabilities within our ERP platform.

What you'll be doing…

• Utilise off-the-shelf or pre-trained models to solve ERP problems quickly.
• Design and train machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement learning techniques.
• Select appropriate algorithms based on the problem domain (e.g., classification, regression, clustering).
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments using frameworks like Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Evaluate, optimise and tune ML models.
• Monitor and maintain ML models.
• Gather and clean large datasets from various sources (databases, APIs, web scraping, etc.).
• Integrate models with APIs and applications to serve predictions in real-time.
• Stay updated on advancements in machine learning and AI.
• Experiment with new algorithms, techniques, and tools to improve solutions.
• Document processes, workflows, and model behaviour for reproducibility and compliance.
• Present results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Your Talents…

• Proficiency in Python (required) and other programming languages like C# and R.
• Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn or Keras.
• Strong knowledge of tools like NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib/Seaborn for data processing and visualization.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Kafka for handling large-scale data.
• Experience with AWS (e.g., Bedrock), Google Cloud (e.g., Vertex AI), or Azure (e.g., ML Studio).
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git for collaboration and code versioning.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with APIs (e.g., REST, gRPC) for model integration.
• Skills in text processing libraries like NLTK, spaCy, or Hugging Face (if working on text-based models).
