We have partnered exclusively with a rapidly growing Irish based client who are seeking a BI & Data Analytics Reporting Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of business intelligence. This person must have a proven track record of managing teams and delivering innovative reporting solutions using Microsoft technologies.

About the Role

As the BI & Data Analytics Reporting Manager, you will lead a talented team of data analysts, data engineers, and Power BI developers. You’ll oversee the company’s reporting and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals while driving process improvements and data quality initiatives. Our organization has made significant investments in Microsoft technologies—including Power BI, Azure etc —giving you access to best-in-class tools to deliver impactful insights.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and leadership to streamline reporting processes, enhance data quality, and foster a culture of innovation in analytics.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee Power BI requests across the organization to reduce report duplication and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

- Manage and mentor a team of BI data engineers, analysts, and Power BI developers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

- Maintain and optimize the central reporting catalog while managing the reporting backlog using customized DevOps boards.

- Lead efforts to automate reporting processes and develop an information layer for enhanced cross-functional reporting capabilities.

- Leverage Microsoft technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and other Azure services to design scalable data solutions.

- Gather requirements from key stakeholders and host solution design meetings to address business needs.

- Drive data alignment initiatives across the business to improve data quality and ensure accurate reporting.

- Provide regular updates to senior management on dashboards, processes, and key insights to support decision-making.

- Deliver training sessions to empower users with tools and knowledge for effective data utilization.

Must Have:

- Proven experience in managing teams of data professionals (e.g., analysts, engineers, developers).

- Strong expertise in Power BI development and administration, with experience in Azure-based tools like Synapse Analytics or Data Factory.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior leadership.

- A track record of driving process improvements in reporting workflows and data alignment.

- Proficiency in managing reporting backlogs using tools like DevOps or similar platforms.

- Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

- Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
