Software Engineer (C/C++)

For our client, Thales, we are looking for some Medior/Senior Software Engineers (C/C++).

About Thales:

Thales designs state-of-the-art radar systems and optical sensors that are part of a complete and integrated defense system. The product portfolio ranges from small portable radars for border or object surveillance, for example, to complex four-dimensional radars that can detect small objects from hundreds to thousands of kilometers away.

Within the software division, the Sensor processing group is responsible for the software development of optimal control and digital processing functions in the sensors. This involves working in multidisciplinary teams together with specialists in system engineering, functional sensor design, and design and realization of real-time systems.

About the job:

Within this Sensor processing group, the complete radar software is developed. This covers various areas including controlling the radar systems, organizing the radar transmissions, and processing the digital information flow. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them, and display them on an operator console.

The software architecture is highly modular and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. Development is done in Agile teams supported by a modern development lane. Further development and maintenance of the architecture, the development street, and the Agile process is done by the teams themselves.

• The prerequisite for this is a completed HBO or WO education in the field of (technical) computer science or computer science;
• We expect extensive experience with the programming languages C and C++ and with real-time software development;
• Experience with other programming languages such as Java is an advantage;
• You are creative, open, and flexible and you can operate as a team player. In addition, you are result-oriented, show initiative, and communicate clearly;
• A good command of Dutch and English is necessary for good job performance.
• And, you have a Dutch nationality.
