Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Period: 1st contract for 5 month (possible extension up to 2027)

Work Location: The Hague

Work type: Hybrid

Hours: 32 - 36 per week

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and optimize IT processes according to ITIL standards.
2. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Ansible).
3. Administer and optimize container technologies (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker).
4. Support CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab CI.
5. Ensure security in (private) cloud environments.
6. Collaborate in a SAFe Agile environment to deliver operational objectives.
7. Conduct 24x7 standby services (rotation every 3–5 weeks).
8. Document processes and transfer knowledge actively to team members.

Must-Have Skills

-Technical Expertise:

• Kafka, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker.
• Git, GitLab CI, Linux.
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible).
• ITIL and SAFe methodologies.

-Security Skills:

• In-depth understanding of security in private cloud development.

-Soft Skills:

• Hands-on mentality, communication, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and results-driven approach.

-General Requirements:

• Language: Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written).
• Availability: At least 32 hours per week.
• Location: Within 1.5 hours of The Hague.
• Education: Minimum HBO-level education.
• SAFe Certification: Required; willingness to obtain on own time if not already certified.

Preferred Skills

1. Backend development in private cloud environments.
2. Experience with HashiCorp Vault and Rancher (SUSE Kubernetes).

Work Package

• Hybrid: Two days a week onsite in The Hague or as required.
• 8-hour workdays (no public transit during working hours)
