As a Cybersecurity Engineer, the main responsibilities include technically evaluating technological and/or cybersecurity components in both new and existing technologies, so that the organization can adopt technologies or controls that best meet cybersecurity needs and requirements. These evaluations require considerable technical depth to allow for a detailed characterization of each solution and comparison among them. The role also involves producing documentation for the tests conducted and for the solution to be implemented (High-Level Design and Low-Level Design).

Main activities:

- Define and implement cybersecurity controls in client solutions.

- Conduct tests on cybersecurity solutions to determine which ones best suit the company’s needs and context.

- Evaluate and implement additional requirements for existing solutions, whether for new functionalities, continuous improvement, or problem-solving.

- Collaborate with client departments to recognize, identify, and characterize technology and its associated cybersecurity risks.

- Manage projects and produce the necessary documentation for tracking their progress.

- Monitor market developments in cybersecurity technologies.

- Align internal strategies with market best practices and technologies that enhance visibility and mitigate cybersecurity risks.

- Communicate risks, corresponding mitigations, or technologies that best address identified needs.

- Contribute, when necessary, to the cybersecurity incident management process.


Requirements:

- Academic background in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Relevant experience in technological and/or engineering fields.

- Relevant experience in identifying, characterizing, and managing cybersecurity risks (e.g., conducting cybersecurity assessments).

- Relevant experience in technology risk management.

- Leadership and teamwork skills.

- Conflict management and coordination of multidisciplinary workgroups.

- Planning and organizational skills.

- Proactivity, pragmatism, and initiative.

- Resilience, adaptability to change, and ability to handle ambiguous situations.

- Critical thinking and result-oriented mindset.

- Autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving.


Valued knowledge:

- Expertise in security technologies.

- Knowledge of the telecommunications sector.
