The Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and maintaining a high-performing, efficient network environment. You’ll work within a dedicated network team operating from the company’s own data centres, ensuring that their systems are stable and optimised for performance.

This position offers the opportunity to:

• Design and lead the development of a new network structure for the central infrastructure.
• Influence strategic decisions on product selection and supplier relationships.
• Tackle a mix of operational management and forward-thinking tasks like presales, design, and proof-of-concepts.

This is a role for someone who enjoys improving systems daily and understands the importance of thorough documentation to maintain control and clarity.

What You Bring

To excel in this position, you’ll need:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in networks and communications.
• Strong expertise in switching and routing.
• Solid knowledge of firewalls and network security.
• Understanding and experience in managing Data Centre environments.
• A background in presales and designing customer-specific solutions.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in shared resource environments, where multiple customers utilise the same systems.
• Familiarity with Change, Incident, and Problem Management (ITIL).
• Knowledge of service development and delivery processes.
• Exposure to information and network security best practices.
