Java Backend Technology Leader

Our customer is a leading global provider of cutting-edge payments technology solutions, dedicated to shaping the future of financial transactions worldwide. As a Java Backend Technology Leader, you will help our customers achieve their goals by understanding their requirements and responding to their business needs. You will use technologies such as Java 11+, Kubernetes, AWS, and MySQL 5.7+. You will leverage new technologies to build the next generation of functional systems, develop and deliver new features, and be responsible for them end to end. You will also work on Data and Monitoring Dashboards along with banking/payment applications development as required by the customer.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the team effectively
• Organize work for the team and support problem-solving
• Provide progress reporting
• Understand customer requirements and respond to their business needs
• Develop and deliver new features using Java 11+, Kubernetes, AWS, and MySQL 5.7+
• Build and maintain functional systems using new technologies
• Work on Data and Monitoring Dashboards
• Develop banking/payment applications as required by the customer

There are no regional limitations within Poland, however you may be asked to visit the Warsaw office from time to time for a day or two (cost covered by project).

Only candidates physically located in Poland are fit for this role.

Due to the nature of our work in the financial market, candidates will be subject to detailed background screening including education, employment history, and criminal record.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• 8+ years of experience as a software developer
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position
• Proficiency in Java 17+
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS
• Proficiency in MySQL 5.7+
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Experience with CI/CD processes

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience with RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with Datadog or Prometheus
• Experience with any other monitoring system with a query language
