Test Automation Engineer

Purpose: This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the quality & reliability of software applications, supporting the company's goal of providing efficient and safe services.

Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements, design automated testing solutions, and ensure the smooth execution of automated tests, reducing manual testing efforts & improving testing efficiency.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions using tools like Selenium, Appium & Test Complete
• Collaborate with manual testing teams to identify testing requirements and develop automated testing scripts
• Ensure automated tests are executed smoothly, and results are accurately reported
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure test automation frameworks align with application architecture
• Ensure test automation frameworks support multiple testing environments and configurations
• Execute automated tests, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve automated testing issues
• Maintain automated testing scripts, ensuring they remain relevant and effective
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, manual testing, and DevOps
• Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members, ensuring skill development & knowledge transfer
• Participate in agile ceremonies, ensuring test automation aligns with project goals and objectives
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, proposing changes to enhance test automation efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows

Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years in test automation or a related field preferably in the transportation sector within a highly reputed company
• Any relevant certification or training such as:

• Certified Test Automation Engineer (CTAE)

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
