VeliX is a team within VeliTech blending art and technology into a digital wonderland for iGaming companies. We're a group of designers, developers, and analysts passionate about leveraging tech and design to enhance both the operational aspects of iGaming companies and the end-user experience.

The work of the VeliX team centres around a few core areas:

  • Branding Development: Collaborating to build compelling brands that resonate with users, making each gaming experience memorable
  • Intuitive Design: Creating interfaces and experiences that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also straightforward and enjoyable for users, making navigation and gameplay intuitive
  • Seamless Usability: Ensuring that every interaction within the brands we help launch is fluid, aiming to keep users engaged with minimal effort
  • Stable Front-End Development: Focusing on the technical side to produce reliable and efficient front-ends for end users, contributing to a smooth and consistent gaming experience
  • Data-Driven Marketing: Applying analytics and user testing to inform marketing strategies, thereby improving user engagement and brand growth
  • Iterative Improvement: Actively seeking feedback and utilising data to make ongoing enhancements to our client's brands, aiming to elevate the user experience continuously

In this role you will:

  • Lead the team in developing the frontend and backend parts of our product to ensure high-quality outcomes that follow our company’s technical guidelines
  • Act as the main technical contact for all tech issues within the product
  • Handle the technical tools and frameworks we use, and encourage the use of best; practices in writing clean and efficient code
  • Constantly optimise continuous integration and delivery processes
  • Keep an eye on new trends in the industry to bring in new technologies that could improve our team’s work and our products
  • Support hiring new team members and invest in maintaining a high level of technical experience of team members
  • Keep the documentation of our code updated and work on improving the overall quality of our software
  • Oversee and organise the development of websites utilizing our core framework
  • Plan and organize work around improving and extending the functionality of the VeliCore framework used to build client sites
  • Participate in code review and task planning activities
  • Collaborate closely with the team leaders to identify and prioritize areas for enhancement
  • Constantly improve end-user experience, optimizing product performance
  • Improve observability systems to measure and enhance user experience
  • Become the entry point for incident management and be accountable for resolution within defined SLAs

Skills and experience you will need:

  • Experience in iGaming
  • At least 7 years of experience in JavaScript, React, NodeJS, including advanced topics like ES6 features, closures, and asynchronous programming
  • Strong background in frontend frameworks, especially React and NextJs
  • Excellent knowledge of SRE practices and architecture design
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Team Lead, guiding FE and BE developers in an international and diverse setting
  • Understanding of Agile methods (like Scrum) and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of backend technologies, especially Node/ NestJs, to support the development of complete solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience with AWS services (ec2, alb, ecs, s3, cloudfront)
  • Hands-on experience in creating CI pipelines using GitlabCI and docker
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloudflare services
  • At least 3 years of experience in K8s, ArgoCD and docker
  • Experience in performance optimisation for web applications
  • Experience with Strapi or other cms
  • Experience in designing REST APIs, and GraphQL, implementing Docker for containerization, and working with public cloud platforms
  • Solid understanding of webpack and familiarity with architectural patterns such as SOLID and FSD
  • Excellent communication skills, leading a team, and building relationships
  • Proven ability to implement changes and achieve set goals
  • Being familiar with AI tools for rapid development is considered an asset
  • Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

Would be a plus:

  • Experience with PHP
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and modern architectural patterns
