We are currently partnered with a FinTech-for-good start up who are enabling fund managers and investment platforms to operate with more transparency, ownership and accountability. It puts the end user at the centre of platform and empowers a traditionally underrepresented group with their cutting edge SaaS and API integration.

They are currently seeking a Lead Golang Engineer to join the team and work with their core SaaS product, getting stuck in with Golang, REST/gRPC-based microservices, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform and JavaScript. You will have the opportunity to own your end-to-end delivery across the SDLC and mentor and coach the rest of your team when it comes to Golang best practises and adopting a devops mentality.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable Golang applications.
• Extend, improve and optimise analytics APIs that ingest over 100 million events a month.
• Work across the entire stack and be willing to contirbute to the frontend technology when needed.
• Drive engineering best practises, such as TDD, Clean Architecture, DevOps mindset etc.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to define and implement new features.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the platforms, taking into account security and trade-offs for using different technologies.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Golang development in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with building scalable and high-performance systems.
• Knowledge of relational database technologies, especially in a data-centric environment.
• Experience documenting APIs with Swagger / Open API
