You will be responsible for leading and coordinating reform across Queensland Worker Screening Services which includes managing projects of varying sizes involving legislative, operational and policy development within a changing business environment, focusing on stakeholder engagement and the implementation of initiatives in collaboration with operational teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Queensland Worker Screening Services projects with accountability for project structure, development of project artefacts, the provision of evidence and methodology to support Executive decision making, escalation and resource allocation.
  • Oversee, coordinate and monitor key aspects of project plans, including any connecting projects, ensuring the key components of the project deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Identify and manage effective internal and external stakeholder relations to ensure stakeholder and client expectations are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop plans and strategies in collaboration and consultation with key stakeholders and provide advice on how to manage potential project issues or perceived risks.
  • Manage the project in accordance with an appropriate project management approach and methodologies to achieve consistent and quality project outcomes.
  • Monitor and develop reporting on project progress against project deliverables.
  • Evaluate key policy and legislative recommendations and consider the impacts on Queensland Worker Screening models and organisations.
  • Facilitate the co-design of high-quality policy outcomes and resources through best practice policy development processes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Consult with the relevant operational areas of Queensland Worker Screening, Strategic Policy and Legal Services to develop the requirements for new projects and initiatives and manage the implementation of subsequent policy change.
