The Network Architect will work alongside the lead architect to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network architectures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-availability, secure, and scalable designs across various networking domains such as data centres, WAN, LAN, and hybrid cloud. This role also emphasises collaboration with cybersecurity and compliance teams, as well as providing tier-3 operational support for critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lead architect to design complex enterprise network architectures.
- Deliver comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) documentation and work closely with the delivery team on Low-Level Designs (LLD).
- Ensure network designs incorporate high availability, operational supportability, and scalability.
- Design and support networks across multiple domains, including:
- Data Center Networking
- Wide Area Networks (MPLS, DMVPN, or SD-WAN)
- Local Area Networks (LAN)
- Wireless Networks
- Network Segmentation
- Hybrid Cloud Networking
- Network Management and Monitoring Systems
- Work with the cybersecurity and compliance teams to create secure and compliant network designs
- Provide escalation support (tier 3) for critical operational issues
- Design and manage IPv4 environments and develop management and monitoring solutions for enterprise networks
- Research and integrate emerging network technologies and trends
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a network architect
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering scalable, high-availability network architectures
- Experience in designing network solutions across data center, WAN, LAN, wireless, and hybrid cloud environments
- Proficiency in network management and monitoring tools
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity planning and design principles
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with advanced network technologies and frameworks
- Familiarity with IPv6 transition strategies
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable
